Scottish Borders Council is considering how best to provide services to children and young people through Self Directed Support. The Council is interested in receiving expressions of interest from all types of providers – from individuals through to organisations – who are providing a range of support to children and young people.

An event was held on Wednesday 16th November to allow conversations between interested providers and members of the Parent Carer Working Group (PCWG), facilitated by Borders Voluntary Care Forum and Borders Carers Centre.

At the event, the PCWG members outlined priorities for parents in relation to children’s services and engaged in discussions with providers, some of whom are not currently offering services in the Borders.
