The Scottish Government has awarded more than £20 million in funding to 224 projects to drive forward Scotland’s equality agenda in 2016-2017.

More than £3 million has gone to national bodies including the Equality Network, BEMIS, CEMVO, Inclusion Scotland, the Scottish Refugee Council and Age Scotland.

The projects will work with individuals, families, children and communities to address inequality and discrimination.

Local organisations to benefit include Borders Green Team and Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre.
